I am Gené B. Tatham, a registered Psychometrist Independent Practice. My own zigzag journey towards my current career path has been my primary motivation for my pursuit of a career in self-development. Leaving high school, I found that I had too many interests and no real idea of which one would make the most rewarding career. This confusion meant that my tertiary education took years much longer than it did for some of my more “clear-pathed” friends as I skipped from one field to another. Finally, I settled on Psychology, where my fascination with the understanding of what drives human behaviour led me to pursue a BA Honours degree in Psychology through the University of South Africa (UNISA), followed by a BPsych Equivalence programme at the University of Stellenbosch. This culminated in me successfully completing the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) National Board Examination and registering as a Psychometrist (Independent Practice) in 2017. My vision and mission is to work with individuals and groups to facilitate the development of self-awareness so that they might enter their post high-school years with a much clearer vision of the path ahead.
